Terranigma tells the story of Ark, a boy growing up in a remote village cut off from the outside world by lava. When he opens a forbidden door and releases a strange creature from a box, he disrupts the balance between two worlds and turns all villagers into stone. To save them, Ark must seek out five towers, uncover the secrets of both worlds, and confront dark forces. The game combines fast-paced combat with weapons and techniques such as dash and leap attacks, with RPG elements where Ark grows stronger after each quest. With its high level of detail, mix of action and RPG, and a branching story shaped by the player's choices, Terranigma stands out as a truly unique adventure.
