The GameCube is Nintendo's most underrated console and one of their best-built. The proprietary 1.5GB mini-DVDs were nearly impossible to copy with contemporary burners — which kept piracy low and means original software is relatively abundant. The Game Boy Player add-on, which let you play GB/GBC/GBA cartridges on your television, is highly sought today — but worth almost nothing without its software boot disc. The Panasonic Q, sold only in Japan, was a GameCube with an integrated DVD player and fluorescent display: one of the most desirable hardware pieces of the era. Rare PAL titles to hunt: Chibi-Robo!, Cubivore (Japanese import only), and Metroid Prime Trilogy in its original boxed release.
