The Wii U is the only modern Nintendo console that never got a second chance. 13.5 million units in four years — and a GamePad whose wireless streaming latency was genuinely impressive (under 1/60th of a second via proprietary compression), a technical achievement that was commercially invisible. Physical versions of Bayonetta 2, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Devil's Third are already speculative targets, and rightly so: some PAL print runs were extremely limited. Switch owners who discover the Wii U are often surprised by Pikmin 3 and Captain Toad — titles porting made accessible but never fully equivalent in experience.
